Lollipop flowers. I used the tutorial here, but there's many out there. Easy and even Pat helped with this one...we did a family assembly line. The kids had fun with this one and I have a project in mind for all the leftover tissue paper. I used bigger suckers, but I think the dum dums would make it look more like flowers. We will definitely be doing this one again for parties. I bought the foam from the Dollar store, added a quick ribbon and stuck them all in. Love how they look like big bouquets.
We used printable tags from Elle's Studio for Elise's.
and we used stamps from Studio Calico for Landon's tags...we used them last year too. For some reason Landon wrote his name backwards on a lot of them. um...ok.
I made these for the kids, their teachers and grandparents. They weren't as easy as they seemed, so I'm glad I didn't do this for their classmates. I would have gone insane. Not sure what the trick to it is, but I just couldn't get them to stay sticky. Cute though and the ones I did make seemed to hold up.
This is what we got the kids....how cute are these things? They're heatpack animals and they smell yummy too. I have a heatpack and they're always stealing it and taking it to bed, so now they each have their own. I think I like theirs better!
(the plate and bowls are not new. I like to dig them out every Vday so they can eat on them all day...and then back in the cupboard they go. )
It was free dress day at school today, so of course they dressed for the holiday. heheee...I'm going to miss the day when they stop letting me pick out their clothes.
Yesterday was my 30th birthday. My mom cooked dinner and Pat and the kids made a cake. Simple and quiet...just the way I like it. I have anxiety just thinking about birthdays...have for as long as I can remember. I hate being the center of attention.
Nice look Cohen. HA!
I hope your day has been sweet and filled with love!
