this is what my house looks right now. I know I know...jealous? hahaha.
actually I'm really surprised at how ready we are because usually we're throwing stuff in boxes at the very last minute.shoving things in garbage bags. cleaning until midnight. I've been cleaning as I go, so I'm hoping all it will need is a quick sweep and mop before we head out.
My dad is flying down on Friday and Pat's dad and brothers are flying in on Saturday to help and drive the uhaul back. I can't believe how blessed we are to have the family we do. They rock.
I do have one last mission before we leave on Saturday. We're having Cohen's birthday party on Wednesday, and I'm making these burgers. We tried them and they are amaaaaazing. So yummy. I used ground turkey and Pat actually liked it better. I think I have him converted. heheheee.
When we went to the farmer's market today I realized I can buy all the ingredients for SO much cheaper down here (and let's face it they taste better) , so I had to look up whether or not you can take fruits back to Oregon. I know you can't bring them into California, but it looks like there's no law against taking them out. wooohoo! So, I'm going to run over and get everything I need before we leave.
my only concern is that they'll go bad before Wed, but I think it will be ok. If not it's not like I can't get more up there.
So, that's my random post from amidst the mess. Now I'm off to call and cancel utilities and rent a moving truck...least favorite thing about moving. blech.
Take care!

ps. wish we were here today.
