this picture has nothing to do with the post, but I took it yesterday and I love it. It's so sweet...she's been such a good dog for our family. We love her.
the kids and I have been sick all week. Pat and I went away for the weekend last weekend (our first in like 5 years...seriously overdue) and I started feeling yucky on the way up. Ended up with a headcold, but we still had tons of fun and need to do it again. We stayed with cousins/friends and it was wonderful to have adult conversation, eating at my own pace, and getting a whole night's sleep...heavenly. ahhh...we need to do it again.
but unfortunately I wasn't the only one getting sick. Cohen and Elise were feeling it too. Luckily Grandma was here to take care of them and make them chicken noodle soup. Landon went to school one whole day this week and Elise finally went back today. It's been a quiet, relaxing week around here and I managed to scrap at the kitchen table a bit. Not as much as I would like, but honestly? Much more than I have been lately.
Have a good weekend! I'm volunteering at the school tonight and then hoping to finish painting Elise's room. Her closet has been done for over a week and that's as far as I've gotten. I'm dying to get in there and just finish. bothers me when it's torn apart like it is.

You're back! Glad to see you blogging again! That photo is too cute, and I LOVE the layout. Those gray thickers are among my faves. I saw them on the clearance rack at CHA and almost cried, I need to buy more!
